Sieb's prime character for children is the dog Rintje, for which Sieb also writes the stories besides illustrating them. A first picture book has come out (Lemniscaat), which has been published in Japan as Koinu-no-Benny (Transworld), in the US as Benny (Kane/Miller), and in Italy as Doki (Lemniscaat). Every week Dutch national newspaper NRC Handelsblad publishes one of Sieb's Rintje-stories plus illustration. Autumn 2003, a collection of forty of these stories was published by Querido.
